Oil reservoir leak.

It seems that the O ring on the oil cap is not sealing properly on the inside of the plastic reservoir inlet.
My other train of thought is that the plastic groove inside the inlet that beds the O ring has become tired.
Any remedies to fix the leak please?
I dont want to purchase a new reservoir yet in case there is a magic fix.

Take the "O" ring to a major autoparts dealer. They may have a box of them w/a size to match yours. I did it and installed one a hare larger and the leaking stopped.

I pay $49 for 4 litres of Quicksilver - Australia.

About $28 U.S. for 4 quarts of Quicksilver. Other national brands are between $20-$25.

Quick fix for the time being as I'm having trouble sourcing an o/s O ring.
I attached a Jubilee S/S clip around the outside of the cap & tightened gently.
No more oil leaks!
