Good morning,
1st post and brand new to boating. I have a 1996 yamaha saltwater series 115hp 2-stroke motor. The main oil tank located in the stern that feeds the smaller tank on the engine will not do so when the oil levels are too low. The rev limiter does kick in at low oil, but the oil will not get replenished from the main tank.
I have checked the pump by wiring directly to the battery and it works. Does the control unit below the small tank (part #6E5-85740-02-00 CONTROL UNIT ASSY), determine this function??
Regards, SK
