Oil & gasoline do not stay mixed together.

No smoke for about 1 week. then the smoke gets thicker every day at idle. Any body else have that problem ? Did I just get a bad batch of oil ?

At idle a motor retains more oil from the fuel than it needs.----Thus it starts to smoke a little more.

It is a Evinrude 9.9 hp....1999. Starts with 1/4 pull. The 50 :1 ratio seperates so bad That I MUST be carefull. Eventually the oil is used up to where the engine starts to reduce terrible amount of idle smoke. AT that point I get ready to refill the tank so I do not have too little oil for WOT.

I am using ACE Hardware TC-W3 rated 2 stroke oil. Going on 2 years almost every day.

Once gas and oil are mixed together they won't seperate. You may have other probs.

You were right. I had the motor set to 2 mph or less For trolling.
Raised the idle back to normal. Almost no smoke.

I agree the oil & gas are fully mixed.
