oil filter change for honda bf8ah

can anyone please tell me if the oil filter on a bf8ah, serial # bacl 10000661 needs to be changed with every oil change ? i see nothing mentioned in my service manual. thanks !

every 100 hours or sooner,filters trap dirt and can clog

That motor has no external oil filter. There is a screen in the oil sump below the powerhead. To change it, you have to remove the powerhead.

Since that is the case, you do not change it unless you have an oil pressure problem or you happen to have the powerhead off for some other reason.
