oem vs sierra

Any body have expierience with oem omc parts vs. sierra or other aftermarket stuff. Have 1980 400 stringer need to do some repairs. Wanted to know which is more reliable.

OEM stuff much better. Especially important with soft parts like transom boots and impellers. And the savings with aftermarket is quite often tiny- sometimes nothing.

I agree but you won't have to worry about boots.
