NSF5A drive shaft bearing location

Ok, I finally have everything apart and am ready to press the bearing back on the drive shaft, does anyone know the exact location for the bearing, bottom of the shaft to either the bottom or top of the bearing? I plan to wrap some tape where the top of the bearing should sit, then put the shaft in the freezer and the next day put the bearing in a heavy plastic bag and boil it, then slide the bearing onto the shaft. Is it necessary to protect that bearing in a bag or could I just heat it with a torch, or in a toaster over? Just don't want to melt any plastic or do any damage to it.
