"I posted this in the Yamaha section, but I need a response quick and I know someone will have this simple answer. I'm looking at a small skiff to play on and I need to check compression, but I've never done it. It is a 99 yamaha 60hp two stroke. I've got a compression guage. How do i do it? One plug at a time? Throttle position? Where is the coil wire on an outboard?

"both plugs out, WOT, connect the plugs back to the wires and loosely let them lay against the block. Check for both blue sparks as well!"

And don't touch the plugs when you spin it over!
Look for at least 120-130 pounds.
