The steering cable clamp on my boat is very rusted so I would like to replace it before it breaks. I have a 25' CC Express Cruiser with a BB Chevy Crusader Engine 409 to be precise. Is the clamp the same as an outboard cable clamp. I believe I have a Teleflex system but when I go out to the internet and look all I seem to find is outboard clamps. The one on my boat looks just like an outboard clamp other then being very rusted. Are they the same? I know there is one on this site and it looks just like mine.

"If you are talking about the "D" part, that's what they call the outboard clamp, the inboard clamps are the "E" & "F" parts.

If you go to that link and hit the Previous Page link at the top, you'll see the recommended setups.

I'd think either would work as long as the mounting point is solid and in the correct location. If what you have is rusty, I'd consider the stainless options."
