I have a 2011 Mercury 60 hp, runs fine but battery keeps dying under use. Checked the fuses and they are good. Ran a multimeter on the two yellow wires coming from the stator and am getting no voltage when engine is running or when engine is throttled up. Checked the same measurement and got minimal resistance when engine is not running about 0.1 ohms. I have looked at trying to replace the stator but the flywheel removal is not the easiest task.
Any other things to check before I dig into trying to replace the stator?
