Newbie Question: Evinrude Powerhead Swap; electronics compatibility

I'm new to this: have a 1976 55 hp (55673E) on Jet Pump with blown head. I also have a "naked" 1972 50hp powerhead (50272C) with good compression and damaged intake manifold. I'm hoping I can simply swap the electrical components and intake manifold/carbs from the 1976 55hp onto the 1972 powerhead, and use on jet pump. Are the parts compatible?

I just looked at the splines on the pump drive shaft (off the 55), It is 14 splined. Looking at the 50hp crank, it also counts 14?
