Newbie here: 1997/1998 Johnson 3.3 hp two stroke questions

I was given this outboard recently and with a cleaning of the fuel tank, fuel switch, new fuel line and carb cleaning it starts on the second pull.
I see a lot of parts are no longer available but I can probably find what I need for now either from Ebay or online.
Impeller, kill button, prop shaft seal, motor bracket (cracked) would do for now.
This one was made in China and has no gear shift (ie no neutral/forward selector so it starts in gear).
Could this be made by Tohatsu? Would parts interchange?
The similar Mercury/Mariner 3.3hp engine seems to have a big following.
Any fans of these 3.3 hp little motors in any brand?
I would like to put it on a small Jon boat in the future.

They all came out of the same factory.----Blue on Monday for Evinrude.---Black on Tuesday for Mercury.----White on Wednesday for Johnson. Etc , etc.-----So if BRP did not negotiate for enough spare parts then maybe one of the other brands did.
 
I have a Johnson 3HP 2-stroke myself. It's probably not that different than yours. Here are some pics of mine.

On one of those pictures, you will see where my model number information is printed. Yours is probably similar.
