Looking at a new used boat. 2

Looking at a new used boat. 2003 Cobalt 77hrs on Volvo 8.1. Is anyone familiar with whether or not Cobalt's seemingly stellar reputation is deserved? I'm finalizing the deal tomorrow

In my 30+ years in boating I believe Cobalt would be the very best money can buy for a family boat! Keep in mid though that any boat is only as good as you or the last owner took/takes care of it. Just check it out.

Cobalt is a very good boat. It has been my experience though that the 8.1 engine in whatever propulsion system manufacturer has not had a stellar performance record. Pay special attention to your oil level and pressures. If the oil presure falls off at high rpm then the oil level is too high and the oil is getting churned up by the crank. Watch it carefully and don't overfill.
