"I have been asking around for Imformation, I have an aq211 running a 290 duo prop. I want to buy a 4.3gl and use my existing drive.
Apparently this can be done with a modification to the bell housing, an engine supplier in the uk has told me this, he gave me a good price for the motor. I phoned another dealer for a price,the other dealer also tells me this engine can be fitted to my drive BUT I will have problems with the trim system. the first dealer did not tell me the problems I may have with the drive trim, the second dealer tells me the wiring for the trim will be a problem.
Is the first dealer right?
Is the second dealer right? or is he just trying to sell me the whole engine/drive package.
The first dealer is not an official volvo penta dealer but has a good reputation, the second one is volvo penta dealer
