I have a line up to buy a nice johnson 110 hp outboard (#115ESL69). My boat's transom measures about 22". I test drove the motor in a pontoon boat, tried my best to measure the shaft length but the cavitation plate was in the water and it was a bad angle. It looked like the shaft measured about 20" give or take a few. Any idea if this motor will work with my boat? I currently have a broken 75hp evinrude from 1960, #50523. Looks a bit longer than the johnson but I notice the prop hangs a few inches below my boat. I gotta tell the guy tonite if I want it
