I just bought a 87 boat with VRO 70 engine. The engine is missing the fuel pump. I have spent some time reading different discussion about vro pump and I have an idea how to fix it. I am going to buy either an electric fuel pump or a vacuum type fuel pump. Trying to keep the cost down, I have find several vacuum pump such as Mikuni 14 Liter per Hour

or
Kawasaki Engine Vacuum Fuel Pump. There are some vacuum pump type for small gardening engine. My question is wheather the 14LPH output is sufficient for 3 cylinder engine. Is there any inexpensive outboard fuel pump I could use.

Also if anyone know what the compression should be on each cylinder?

I appreciate the help.

Compressions should be between 120 and 140 psi. Make sure the cylinders are within no more than 20 psi of each other. As for your fuel pump problem dont stuff around with an aftermarket pump just fit a new pre-mix fuel pump. Try this one, its off a 1999 65 hp commercial model. Part number is: 438557
