Need help on year model and the model

Need some help on this serial number. It has 25 B stamped on the tag also but that hasn't been of any help also. Mariner 25hp. 690 S 000385. Trying to upload a picture but not having any luck.

Check that number again, if it's a 25 HP it should be 695 S 000385 which makes it a 1979. These Mariners are in all but colour, Yamaha. On the other hand, if its 670 S 000385, it's a bigger HP '77 48
