need help fixing a problem

Hello, I need help figuring out what this wire is and where it goes. My kids were playing around by the boat and next thing I know this is hanging off. Any help wood be great. I would love it fix it before my husband finds it. thanks

Thanks it seem that is exactly what it is, but I don't see where I need to attach it back to. Do both ends pull into something?

HI that is the tube that runs to the speedo, look around and there should be a another tube that runs inside the boat to the speedo,

That connector is used to connect the two bits of tubing together. one from the outboard other from the speedo
