Hello! I have a 1996 Nitro with a 115 Mercury 2 stroke on it. At the beginning of the summer, it had a no start issue. I replaced the fuel pump, the lines, and cleaned the carbs. Now, It seems to run ok at idle, but it will bog down and shut off at WOT. Also, the ball seems to be easy to pump up after the boat dies. At first, I thought it was a fuel issue still, but I ran a compression check and cylinder 3 is at 90psi, while the others are at 120. Cylinder 3 also immediately fouled a spark plug. I see some posts saying that piston rings get stuck and to pour some marvel mystery fluid in them overnight to try to unstick the rings. My ideas for next steps:
1- pour marvel mystery fluid in the cylinder overnight
2- rebuild carbs
3- replace fouled plug
4- inspect the cylinder for damage
5- perform a leak down test
is there anything that I am missing or should do?
