This came to me in a trade. With all the usual Salve remarks about it used to run good etc.
Nobody in the Business of fixing outboards would have taken this motor.
I get so emotionally run down from starting all over again and again.
This one needs a Shift lever. They have a long bolt/lock nut stuck in the leftover broken part. I'll get a photo of that and maybe one of you guys will have a replacement.
I pull and it's got spark, but wont fire with Carb Cleaner sprayed in the Carbs. Now I've got to pull the Flywheel and check the Key.
Then go through the Carb, and then start it up and try to adjust it to run Low and also Fast without the annoying problems.
Don't it make you tired to see all this? Reminds you of times you didn't want to recall?
I'm going to work toward this end!
When it comes time to start it, I want to pull slowly, and have it start on the Second 'thump' and Idle right down to trolling speed.
That's days and days away though.
