My 1984 Johnson 9.9 kill switch does not work.

I have 1984 Johnson 9.9 that the kill switch does not work on the end of the tiller and how to get at the switch would be very helpful.

Got a model # I don't think 84s had that switch or put up a pic

The individual that I bought it from said it was a 84, but here is the model number.
Now just after the kill switch there is a ring that can be turned.Here is the model# CJ10RCDB....

That is a 1986 model you will need to take it all apart to install a new switch.

When you take it apart do it on a table with a towel over it there are small parts that will fly off part #s 18,20,3 like to go flying

I looked at the exploded view of what has to be done and the amount of things that have to be done is where I start with anxiety and break out with hives.
It'll be awhile before I take on that job.

Just disconnect the throttle cable and stop wires and it should pull off fairly easy. Then you can work on it at your leisure on the kitchen table if allowed to?
