Moving heat exchanger location

Has anyone move the heat exchanger from the rear of the motor elsewhere? As it is set up, the heat exchanger will interfere with the steering tiller for a Volvo 280 drive.

It needs to be higher than the motor--that's what you have to be careful about.

you can move them. may be easi

you can move them. may be easier to use the volvo system (or try to mimick it) than to mod what you have. Choice is really a budget vs time trade.

You can always move them up to the front....then you have to worry about enclosure clearance...
 
I will probably move it to the

I will probably move it to the transom. This will result in about a 1' extra length on all the hoses.I should be able to keep the height the same or slightly higher.
