Model 350 exhaust elbows

"Just returned from a trip and I noticed I blew a small hole in one my starboard engine exhaust elbow,right near the stud bolt. I'm thinking it's because of age (1987) Is there anything else I should be concerned with, becaause the boat ran great even with the hole. Thanks Ken"

"If that's all you blew, consider yourself lucky! Those old parts need to go before water gets in and wrecks the motor.

"Ken, Just In case you don't take Jeff's advice seriously, I will tell you I spent November and December 2007 REMOVING the manifolds and the rest of the spring acquiring new parts, re-grinding valves, new stuff I would not have even guessed would be affected...

Of my 200+ posts, 60% of them had to deal with this problem. And my engines ran great also. Research the wear time and be guided accordingly"
