Just came back from my maden v

Just came back from my maden voyage. All went well for a while then it startd to run rough made it to shore. The guy I bought the boat from said the spark plugs were 2 year old so I happened to buy a set and had them in my truck so I changed them out. It ran good again. Should I trust this fixed the problem?Also I can only tach up to 4800 RPM could this be the prop?

A compression check will tell you whether you should worry or not.

"if hitting on all four, should be able to turn at least 5400...If, after trimming out well, you still can't turn up thr rpm's, that it could very well be that you are over proped..Your local dealer should be able to give you the correct info..."
