" Joe i've been having problems with my motor losing rpms. The motor runs great until i hit a wake and i lose about 1300 rpm. Sometimes after i run for a while maybe a mile or 2 it starts cutting out. I can choke the motor and it will jump back up to normal rpms but after i let off the choke it will lose again 1000 to 1300 rpms. I've changed spark plugs, fuel line and tank. The carb has been cleaned. Is there something lose that i may need to check? Maybe a wire. I thought it was the power pack but if i can choke the motor and it gains rpms then it wouldn't be the power pack would it? Thanks donnie "

"Donnie.... The fact that the engine gains power when you hit the choke indicates that you may have overlooked something in the carburetor, or the carburetor is starving for fuel.

Try having someone pump the fuel primer bulb when this happens. If that corrects the problem, you have either a air leak in the fuel supply/line somewhere, or the fuel pump is faulty.
