Has been stored and bringing it back to service?

Last time if was running fine - what maint has been done since - what year is the motor (old 50 with points or a new 4 stroke model)..."

"sorry didnt see response Its a 1984 it had set for 20 years got running after cleaning carbs rebuilding water pump ran good on lake at full power but could'nt get it to idle through no wake or to even idle ran out of gas was trying to start last night and boom this all started, this is a friends engine just trying to help him out"
 
Idle circuits need to be clean

Idle circuits need to be cleaned.It may have damaged the reeds during the backfire. Check them when you take the carbs back off.
