I've changed the water pump kit out with new impeller but I can't get the shaft and everything back up in the tube. The brass line that runs the length of the housing is just floating around in there and getting the shaft gears to line up to go back in then the water line wasn't in the water pump. Does anyone have any tricks or ideas on me getting this back together? I would appreciate any pointers or suggestions. Thanks to anyone who replies. It's on a Mercury 3.5 hp 4 stroke outboard.
