hello!!

Is there any one who knows how to adjust the idle mixture screw, what is the factory settings for it ??

The motor is a Mercury 20hp -1975

Begin with the screw turned CW (clockwise) until gently almost snug. Then turn it CCW counter clockwise 1.5 turns. Now start the engine and let it stabilize until it warms up to operating temp. Now SLOWLY turn it CW until the engine starts to stumble or miss then turn it CCW to the point that the engine runs smooth. Then continue CCW about a half turn to enrich the mixture. Remember the turning of the screw has to be done slowly at about 1/8 of a turn at a time while pausing for 10 seconds for the engine to stabilize at that particular setting.

OK, thanks, and i supose that i do all this in neutral? or should i run the motor in forward.

Neutral then set idle speed w/engine in the water in forward.
