mercury 15 hp 2006

I have a 15 hp mercury 2006 ser # 1B258549 will start and only stay running when choking in and out. had to much oil in crank case, would that take out the fuel pump. Quits like it ran out of gas. Don't know if its carb or pump. Have also changed fuel tanks and lines. Any Ideas

can't get this engine to stay running, only starts and quits like it is out of gas, i have switched tank and lines. engine was over fild with oil when problem started, would that take out fuel pump or carb. any one have any ideas.
