Hi all
Just had outboard serviced (2011 model with 75hours) and the engineer said he had an oil leek on the oil filter after he changed it so he put a new one on and said I may see a little bit of oil in the water which I did.
So next day was a trip 15 miles off shore when after 7 miles the engine alarm sounded and the engine went into safe mode so stopped, looked at engine and saw oil so turned the engine off.
checked oil level and no oil showed on the dip stick, so managed to get a tow back.
Engineer has looked at the engine and their are no problems with the filter sealing so they may think it maybe to high oil pressure ? They did a pressure check and got 60psi at 1800 revs
So guys any help would be most welcome
