"Have some questions that I would very much appreciate an answer to. Have a 115 HP Mercury, 2 stroke, 4 cylinder, 199x something, that:

1) Sometimes, maybe every 10th time, the Start Engine doesn´t engage. It clicks and sounds like it´s spinning, but probably just doesnt engage the (what might it be called in english) flywheel?

2) Sometimes, more frequent with a warm engine, it stalls when put in gear. Low idle RPM? Whats the recomended idle RPM?

clean the starter bedix with s

clean the starter bedix with solvent and then wd-40 or light oil.

Just a guess but idle rpm about 800 or just enough to run smooth in gear
