Hi again, i have 3 mercury motor,the first is merc 110 ser. 1470936 around 1962 or 1963.
Second one is merc 110 kiekhaefer 9.8hp twin ser. 2295689.
Thirst one is 9.8 hp thunderbolt ser. 7168651.
My question is what is the year and is it the long shaft or short and are the foot it is can interchangable.
Thank in advance.

The serial number has nothing to do with the shaft length. If it measures 15 inches from the cavitation plate to the bottom of the clamps (top of transom when attached) it's a short; 20 inches and it's a long.

The first two motors are early 1960s. The later one is a mid-70s I believe.

No. The earlier ones are very different. You can tell by simply measuring the length of the LU at the parting line where it bolts up: The newer ones are much longer.
