mariner 50 4cyl 4 stroke suspect coil pack

does anyone know the correct low tension voltage (fed from the CDI) for my coils? - I ask this because I'm getting approx 4 volts and I would assume 12 would be correct?

Why would you think 12 volts to be correct ???-------Will spark jump a gap of 3/8" or better on all cylinders ??

well we are getting no spark from one coil of a two coil pack (the other coil pack works fine and it fires and runs on those two cylinders) and an intermittent spark from the other coil so we suspect the coils in the pack we are testing are faulty - the suppressor caps check out OK on a resistance test - we thought it would be useful to know the input voltage from the CDI to the low tension side so we could check it's the same for both coil packs and rule out a low tension feed problem
