I am waiting for my new impeller to arrive and before I remove the lower unit I have a question! When it comes time to disconnect the shift linkage, halfway up the shaft (it is a long shaft) you can see the shift linkage rod that looks like it has 2 parts connected together with a couplier and a lock nut! Do I take this apart to disconnect the linkage? I don't see any way up by the motor to disconnect it up there!
