"I'm looking at a 1996 bowrider with a 5.7L/Alpha Drive. The manifolds and risers were just replaced. The engine runs well but there is a large temperature difference between the two sides. At speed, one side ranges from 140-160 while the other side ranges from 105-115. Any idea what the problem may be?"

i have seen different temps be

i have seen different temps before on most cheavy motors

check the temps under t-stat

dont worry mine does the exact

dont worry mine does the exact same thing and everything is new on my cooling system.

Some engines have a "T&#34

Some engines have a "T" w/check ball valves that prevent water from the riser backing into the T'Stat tower. The "T" has a hose on each side going to port and starboard risers. A spring loaded ball valve will stick and not allow sufficient cooling water to the riser.
