The driveshaft simply slides in or out of the pinion gear. Can't say about the water pump screws as the alarm is on and I can't get to that area right now.

still need to know what size bolts for water pump

Water pump screw part number is 303714. Just checked to see if I had any left whereas I could tell the size... no luck.
