Hello: First I have been working on a 2010, Mercury outboard, 60hp, efi, 4 stroke fuel system.
After a complete rebuild of VST including new high pressure pump, new fuel regulator, float, needle, seat, cleaned or replaced all screens, new fuel filters (2) low pressure pump gas 4-6 psi constantly.
Suppose to get 42-44 psi while running. All I can get is 25-28psi. Noticed when I took back apart to recheck my work that the grommet that seals the pump into the top cover on the VST. That the fuel pump top section that actually should be above any fuel in the VST was completely drenched with fuel. My guess is I either have enough fuel leaking down back into my VST bowl, from this grommet. Or bad injectors. Need someone to chime in that has more experience than me on this system. Have a new grommet on order.
