Hello. My first post. I have a 1996 Mariner Magnum, 4 cyl, 2 stroke outboard, serial # 0G323117. I just lost the Trim Tilt. I checked the fuse, its ok. The trim switch on the throttle stopped working so I tried the switch on the motor housing. Still nothing. However, when trying the up or down switch you can hear the solenoids click. But no trim motor noise.
I pulled the electrical cover and found my voltage regulator with a "hot spot". I don't know if that has anything to do with the trouble or not.
