looking at 2004 mercury 8 hp 2 stroke need advice

looking at a 2004 mercury tiller handle pull start 2 stroke short shaft - he is aksing $950

wondering if any issues with this motor and is this a good price

Sounds like a good price. Don't buy it before you try it in a trash can full of water.

I wouldn't...all I hear is they are dogs...buy the 2 stroke. It will do well on the 12'.
