Long or short shaft

I have a 10ft Livingston and I'm wanting to get some opinions on which would be best for my boat. Any advice is geeatly appreciated. Thanks

A transom that is 15" high requires a short shaft motor.----A boat with a 20" high transom requires a long shaft motor.----For both these boats there is the same amount of motor sticking in the water below the boat.----Yes there sometimes is a lot of confusion on the topic.
