Twin Lm318/vee-drives
I have a rebuilt lm318rw and vee-drive will not accelerate under load. I have rebuilt carter four barrel carb,electronic ignition and new prestolite distributor. Timing is set @ 3000rmp adv 26degree.
My thinking is ? could the shaft alignment be the cause of the low rmp. The prop is original to the boat and balanced along with a new shaft.
After installing all the new and rebuilt items the engine rmp reached 4000rpm no problem, could the alignment moved? I,m re-tracing all the work starting with fuel.
Any other thoughts would help!"
