"Hi,
I did order a new fuel pump but the new pumps diameter is a bit larger than the older.
The pump was a CARM60980 Fuel Pump, Chrysler Small Block V8 67-77, Carter (from eBasicPower).
There is a small knob coming from the block, which makes that the new pump cannot be placed and tightened well.
If I plan to make the "knob" smaller by removing ~10mm from it's top, is there anything vital inside that knob?
See the pictures, the "knob" is visible in the first picture in the new pumps side.
