Hello, all. I have a 2005 40 hp Mercury outboard. I pulled one of the spark plugs yesterday, and noticed oil on the threads: not on the electrode; just the threads. From its color, I suspect engine oil. Do y’all think I have a leaking valve cover gasket? Can I continue using the motor for a while without damaging it? Thanks.
