late 70's or early 80's merc

I was given an 50hp merc that runs. I'm looking for a place that might have the parts to change it to a short shaft for my jon boat. I don't want to use a transom jack or raise the transom to get it to work on my jon. I plan on using a jet pump part of the time and a prop . I would appreicate any help in finding the parts
