Kill switch for 1957 35hp Big Twin

I am thinking about adding a kill switch to my model 25930. Has anyone done this successfully?

Remove flywheel.-----Drill hole in magneto plate.-----Feed a wire to each set of points.----When you connect those 2 wires together the motor stops.
