"I have a 1974 Johnson Seahors

"I have a 1974 Johnson Seahorse, when looking for parts, I sometimes find listings for 2HP Colt or Jr. What is the difference between them? Also when the Seahorse is not listed, will the parts for the Colt or Jr. fit and work in my outbord, assuming they are for a 1974 model? Thanks"

"Go to www.evinrude.com and click on Engine Diagrams. From there you'll be able to look at exploded diagrams for Johnson and Evinrude going back to 1968. There's a where used function that will allow you to see a list of all models a particular part fits. Sometimes there are inaccuracies but BRP's done a decent job for the most part."
