all right, I went back and revisited the link and sync adjustment per the manual, when it came down to check idling timing, I used a friend's tool called "easy timer" he got it from ebay my friend says it worked for his dad old johnson engine( 50hp) unfortunately it did not work for me, now the engine starts and revs up a lot then slows down..down..down and dies..I think I messed it up...that thing playing with the timer base and tabs......I guess is time for me to call a mechanic to look at the timing and link adjustment as I do not have the original OMC timing analyzer and it cost around 200+ bucks, I will ask for an estimate and see what happens.....depressed mode came back.....lolRegards,
