Johnson J75TRLCIM 1981 Bearing Carrier

At the prop end of the bearing carrier there is a small notch cut out to drain water. Is there anything else about the carrier that it MUST go in with the notch down besides draining water out.

That's about it, but it would be nice to have a long (12") rod (1/4 X 28 threads) to screw into the retaining plate that holds the bearing carrier in place. That way once you have the carrier in place you can pull up on the rod and start your other screws. The retainer plate also has a drain hole for oil to get to the rear bearing. Just a few little details that might make it easier for you.
