I have a 1976 - 9.8 merc. found an oil type stain under the leg this morning. I live in canada and had the motor stored in the non heated garage this year. do i have a problem? thanks for your advice

Check the oil level in the leg...if it is full then the oil stain can be from the exhaust; it accumulates in the exhaust and runs out as it sits. Check the seals behind the prop for oil seapage...no oil should be there. Look for fishing line around the seal.
