Is this a problem?

I purchased this boat and motor used it is an 06 BF90. I noticed the tube coming out of the crankcase has been plugged with something. The motor runs fine so I hope it is ok to leave like it is. Ideas as to why this is?

Tada! Yes it isnt a problem then. Not sure why I was tuned into a crankcase vent but your right. Dont need it. thanks
