Howdy! I have an early model Merc 200 20hp pull start. I'd like to convert it to a key start. But I need a starter and probably a flywheel or a ring gear to put on the existing flywheel. Also, I have a "remote controller" for the gears and throttle, but it doesn't work that well. I'm considering going back to the tiller. I bought the boat the way it is, but I'm 76 and getting it started is becoming a problem. The question is... is it economically viable to make the conversion? Then is it possible to do so.
